Scheduling the paint booth

Cold air mass moving in made scheduling the high tech paint booth difficult. Gusty winds impact primer coat! - BTW, "cold air" means temps dropped from upper 80's to mid 70's for a day or two.

But beautiful blue sky and plesant temperatures aren't always a bad thing.

What a Beauty!

Here's what 3/4" steel plate looks like at the corner.

Just look at this new beauty! I've been working on a small steel table or on the concrete floor since I began. Now I have a new 4'X8' true and level working surface. Wow, no more having to shim pieces to level them on the floor. No more crawling around on my knees to weld. (Well, maybe just a little less crawling around...)

Thanks to my friend and workshop neighbor John C., I've aquired a 3/4" piece of plate and we have welded the pipe legs on by hoding the piece in the air with his fork lift. I still need to add the stretchers between the legs and then a light-weight shelf under the main surface but this is already a great improvement.

Here is an overview of the table in place. ( I won't be moving this around a whole lot!)
