Rock Farm Project

For nearly ten years I've looked for a place. I imagined a mountain with a sweeping view of distant ridges and valleys. I've looked primarily in Northeast Alabama and Southeast Tennessee for this place. After I had almost given up hope and had begun to look for a farm with rolling land, in early November 2006, I stumbled upon some land held by a bank. I found it by searching the county tax maps online. When I compared the tax maps with my topo of the area, I got more excited since it would have an elevation over a bend in the Tennessee River just south of Huntsville. To make a long story short, Sigi and I bought this land and are planning to build a new studio and home on this property over the next couple of years.
