Here is a fast summary: Born in Bakersfield, California 1944, a WWII baby - two years too soon to be officially a baby-boomer. Grew up and went to public schools in Montgomery, Alabama. Squandered first year in college and went into the Army 1964. 45 months in Army Security Agency Europe. Married German girl and daughter Monique born 1966. Returned to University of Alabama with GI Bill, wife and child, and 2 jobs. BA and MA  major - clinical psychology, minor - philosophy. Divorced, remarried 3 years later. After 31 years looks  like this time it may last a while. [Thanks Sigi !]

Successful career in administration of Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug treatment service, public, private, for-profit and not-for-profit. Back to graduate school in the '90s in MBA program focusing on Information Technology. Self-taught programmer and former Microsoft Certified network weenie, operated a software company for creating and maintaining database driven web sites for 6 years.

John C. Campbell Folk School for blacksmithing courses, Drake Trade school in Huntsville for welding and torch cutting classes. UAH for art classes in stone carving, bronze casting, drawing, design, and assemblage. [Thanks Glen Dasher!]
